My first project after film school took me underwater to document the creation of the world’s first semi-submerged tidal art gallery.

The sculptural space was meant to merge art, land, and sea, as it evolved into a living coral reef. Shortly after its completion, the installation was dismantled by Maldivian authorities, exposing the tension between artistic ambition, cultural values, and the realities of power.
